MASCAC Weekly Volleyball Release
North Adams, MA- MCLA Volleyball newcomer Brianne O'Rourke has been named the MASCAC Rookie of the Week as announced by the league offices this morning. The honor is the first for O'Rourke on the season as the Trailblazers are just getting underway.
O'Rourke collected seven kills and hit .357 in a 3-1 setback at Southern Vermont last Friday night. The Johnstown, NY native also racked up three blocks as she has been a force at the net early on this season.
The Trailblazers are off to a solid start in 2014 having won a pair of matches in three attempts. MCLA will return to the court on Tuesday night when they travel to Mount Holyoke. Another road match against Smith College awaits before the home opener on Sunday, September 14th.
