Mooney to attend a pair of national conferences this summer

North Adams, MA- Laura Mooney, MCLA's Director of Athletics, has been named the recipient of a pair of grants this summer for leadership opportunities by the National Association of Collegiate Director's of America (NACDA) and The National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators (NACWAA).  Both grants cover the costs associated with national conventions that each are putting on this summer.

The selected NACDA member directors of athletics will receive a $1,000 stipend to cover their Convention registration and to help offset the cost of lodging, airfare/mileage and meals.

The NACDA Foundation Professional Development Grant program began in 2014. A total of 66 NACDA member ADs received the grant for this year's Convention.

The NCAA/NACWAA Leadership Enhancement Institute (LEI) is the premier "level two" leadership development program for women in intercollegiate athletics administration. Open to NACWAA members and graduates of the NCAA/NACWAA Institute for Administrative Advancement (formerly NACWAA/HERS), LEI provides advanced educational opportunities, professional development and more in-depth training for women athletic administrators.

The NACDA event takes place in Dallas and runs from June 9-17th, while the NACWAA conference is slated for July 19-22 in Kansas City, MO.
