2016 MASCAC Fall All Academic Team

North Adams, MA- The MCLA Trailblazer fall athletic programs were well represented on the MASCAC All Academic team as announced by the league offices.  Forty six Trailblazers were named to the team and there was representation from all seven fall programs.

The MCLA Women's Soccer and Volleyball programs led the way each with ten student-athletes on the team.  Men's Soccer had eight players chosen.  The forty six students represent 46% of the department during the fall campaign.

Student-athletes that compete in championship varsity sports offered by each of the MASCAC institutions during the course of the Fall 2016 athletic season and have achieved a 3.20 cumulative or semester-based grade point average during the semester are eligible for selection to the Fall All-Academic Team.

"It is a great honor to recognize the student-athletes on the 2016 MASCAC Fall All-Academic Team," Commissioner Baumann said. "Academic success is the cornerstone of not only the Division III philosophy but also the MASCAC. I am proud of all the student-athletes who achieved academic honors while continuing to excel in their sport."

The Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference, the nation's oldest Division III men's and women's playing conference, has a rich and storied tradition of competitive success while celebrating excellence in the classroom.
