Ortega, Wehner headline award winners at MCLA Athletics Banquet

North Adams, MA- The MCLA Athletics department held their annual awards banquet on Tuesday evening in the Amsler Campus Center Gym.  A pair of MCLA seniors, Shane Ortega and Jen Wehner, took home the top individual honors as they were selected as the Louis Parisien and Sue Getchell award winners.

Many different honors were bestowed throughout the night as student athletes were presented with accolades from the Student Athletic Advisory Committee, Team MVP's, Faculty Athletics Representative academic awards, the Steve Green Service award, and of course the Parisien and Getchell awards.

The banquet was wrapped up by a senior reflection from MCLA Women's Soccer player Jackie Nash.  The ceremony also featured a special guest.  Bob Ryan, the award winning sports columnist from the Boston Globe, attended the banquet as a guest of the President's office.
