Wiggins tabbed as MASCAC Rookie of the Week
North Adams, MA- MCLA's first year player Joe Wiggins has been selected as the MASCAC Rookie of the Week as announced by the league office. Wiggins helped guide MCLA to a 1-1 week including a great performance in a double overtime win over Lyndon State.
Bilal Shakir of Worcester State was selected as the player of the week.
Wiggins scored 21 points off the bench in MCLA's 96-95 double OT win over Lyndon last Tuesday. He was 8-12 from the floor in that contest before fouling out. He would add 16 points in the Trailblazers overtime setback to Castleton University on Friday night.
Wiggins shot a solid 9-11 from the charity stripe for the week and averaged six rebounds over that span.
The Trailblazers return to action tomorrow night at 7pm with a tilt at home against loca rival Williams College
