Men's Basketball falls 89-47 to Union in semester finale

Schenectady, NY- Thirteen different Union men's basketball players found the scoring column as the Dutchmen routed the MCLA Trailblazers 89-47 this evening in non conference action.  Union improves to 4-3 on the season while MCLA drops to 3-6 as they head into semester break.

Union started fast as they jumped out to a 7-0 lead and never trailed in the contest.  They would go on to lead 39-20 at halftime and squashed any thoughts of an MCLA comeback by outscoring the Trailblazers 50-27 in the final half of action.

The Dutchmen were balanced as Kevin McNoble scored 14 points to lead all scorers.  Brendan Laing added 12 points and completed the double double with 10 rebounds.  Greg King and Andrew Laub each added 9 points for Union.

The Dutchmen owned the statistical edge shooting 47% compared to just 27% for MCLA.  The Trailblazers went just 2-23 from three point land.  Union dominated the glass owning a 60-32 advantage over the much smaller Trailblazers.  MCLA was hurt by 19 turnovers in the loss.

Antoine Montgomery led MCLA with 9 points in the second half.  Corey Jackson also scored 9 points for the Trailblazers.
