Conquest earns second team All MASCAC nod

2018 Men's Basketball All MASCAC Release

North Adams, MA- MCLA Senior forward Adam Conquest (Gardner, MA) was named to the All MASCAC second team the conference office announced this afternoon.  The honor is the first for Conquest during his time at MCLA.

Senior Shaquan Murray of Salem State is the 2017-18 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year and headlines the All-Conference team which is voted on by the seven coaches around the conference.

Earning the 2017-18 MASCAC Men's Basketball Rookie of the Year honors is Conquest's teammate, Noah Yearsley.  Chris Harvey of Salem State was selected as the conference's Coach of the Year.

Joining Murray on the 2017-18 All-Conference First Team is Joseph Carty, Rocky DeAndrade of Bridgewater State, Drew Healy of Salem State and Marcus Collins of Westfield State.
 
Joining Conquest on the Second Team are Rayshon Ward of Bridgewater State, Manny Payton of Framingham State, Sean Bryan of Salem State and Shaun McCarthy of Worcester State.
 
Conquest was outstanding for MCLA during the second half of the season.  The senior joined the program after the first semester and started all 17 games for the Trailblazers.  He averaged 13.1 points and 8.8 rebounds for MCLA.  He led the program in rebounding.  The forward scored in double figures in 13 of his appearances including a season best 25 point effort in a loss to eventual league champion Bridgewater State.
