Men's Basketball beaten by St. Joseph (CT) 108-63

West Hartford, CT- The University of St. Joseph (CT) men's basketball team held a 66-25 edge off the glass and placed five players in double figures as they routed the MCLA Trailblazers 108-63 this afternoon in non league play.  The Bluejays are led by former UConn head coach and hall of famer Jim Calhoun.  They improve to 5-2 on the season.

MCLA drops to 1-5 overall.

The Bluejays started quickly scoring the games first ten points and never looked back.  They built their lead to 58-31 at halftime and MCLA never threatened over the final 20 minutes of play against the bigger Bluejays.

Ryan O'Neill scored a game high 20 points for USJ.  He added 5 rebounds and 3 assists.  Chris Childs came off the bench to match O'Neill's 20 point night.  Childs canned 5-6 shots from three point range.  Delshawn Jackson Jr. added 13 points, 6 boards, and 6 assists in the win.

Nadir Dixon-Thompson ended with a doulble double of 11 points and 14 rebounds while Cameron Sells finished with 10 points.

USJ shot 57% from the floor in the win.  

MCLA was led by Mike Demartinis.  He scored 14 points on 5-9 shooting.  Joaquin Scullark added 14 points as well, but was just 7-23 from the floor.

MCLA shot just 31% in the contest.

The Trailblazers will finally open up home play on Tuesday night when they host RPI at 7pm.
