Yearsley named second team All MASCAC in Men's Basketball

North Adams, MA- MCLA junior guard Noah Yearsley capped off a solid season by being named to the All MASCAC Second Team following a vote of the league's coaches.  It's the second time that Yearsley has been honored by the conference as he was the rookie of the year in 2018.  

Salem State's Hakeem Animashaun was selected as the conferences Player of the Year while Worcester State's Tyler Hundley was tabbed as the Coach of the Year.  Brendon Hamilton of Westfield State earned the conference's rookie of the year honors.

Yearsley appeared in all 26 games for MCLA this season.  He led the team in scoring at 15.4 ppg, which ranked him tenth in the conference.  He was held in single digits just four times all season.  He ended his junior year with six straight double digit scoring games.  Yearsley scored a season best 26 points in a game against Hunter College back on January 24th.  In that contest, he hit a season best six three pointers.  

He became a lethal threat from beyond the arc this season.  He connected on 67 of 180 attempts this season which led the team.   Yearsley shot a respectable 37% behind the arc and 42% overall.

Joining Animashaun on the 2019-20 All-Conference First Team is Dimitri St. Louis of Bridgewater State, Jauch Green Jr. and Vawn Lord of Westfield State and Tyler Dion of Worcester State.
 
Joining Yearsley on the Second Team are Ryan Carney and Rayshon Ward of Bridgewater State, and Erik Bjorn and Chris Cardoso of Worcester State.
