Golf defeats Sage in rare head to head matchup at Berkshire Hills, Bator fires 83

Pittsfield, MA- In a rare head to head matchup this afternoon, the MCLA Golf team defeated the Sage Gators 338-462 in a match played at Berkshire Hills Country Club in Pittsfield.  The match was the second hosted by the Trailblazers in 2016.

The match was played in windy and wet conditions on the 6,600 yard, par 72 layout.  Nick Bator took home medalist honors for MCLA after shooting a solid round of 83.  Three Trailblazers, Josh Fortier, Doug Sigsbury, and Reese Dwyer, each carded 85's to round out the scoring for MCLA.  

Other Trailblazers competing were Nolan Bird (92) and Liam Nolan (94).

Casey Fitzpatrick led Sage with a 99.  Other scores for the Gators were Jared Almy (115), Tyler Schnaible (118), and Austin Laverty (130).

The Trailblazers will wrap up their fall season next weekend when they travel to Husson for the NAC Championships.
