MCLA Golf posts season low round on opening day at Elms

South Hadley, MA- The MCLA Golf team shot a season best total of 350 this afternoon on the opening day of the Elms Invitational.  The Trailblazers compete in the final round tomorrow and sit in 14th place after day one.  Husson University leads after posting an impressive total of 299, good enough for a one shot lead over Western New England.

The final round tees off tomorrow at 1pm.

The Trailblazers had a pair of golfers post an 84.  Reese Dwyer was the first to post an 84 and then was quickly followed by Bobby New's round of 84.  Both players sit T-43 after day one.  Hunter Woodbury shot an 89, his lowest total in a Trailblazer uniform and sits in 62nd.  Gabe Evans rounded out the scoring with a 93.
