Boateng goal lifts Men's Soccer to non conference road win at SUNY Poly 1-0

Utica, NY- MCLA's Edward Boateng scored in the 71st minute to propel the Men's Soccer program past SUNY Poly 1-0 this evening in non conference action.  The Trailblazers go back over .500 as they sit at 6-5-1 this season while the Wildcats fall to 3-10.

Boateng collected his team leading sixth goal of the season off a nice pass from fellow senior Jesse Moore to break the deadlock.  The goal came after a scoreless 70 minutes of action in which the Trailblazers controlled play, but couldn't find the back of the net.

MCLA owned a commanding 18-6 shot advantage which included an 8-2 mark on goal.  The Trailblazers also held a slim 5-4 mark in corners.

Kamron Anderson earned the shutout in goal for MCLA stopping the only two shots he saw on the afternoon.

Mingoro Fanny absorbed the loss for the Wildcats collecting 7 saves in defeat.

The Trailblazers are off until Friday when they head to Buzzards Bay for a pivotal matchup with Mass. Maritime at 6pm.  Currently, the Buccaneers are leading the MASCAC while the Trailblazers are in second place in the conference.
