Men's Soccer falls to Keene State 1-0 in home finale

North Adams, MA- Keene State received a second half goal from LJ Luster in the 47th minute to lift the visiting Owls to a 1-0 win over the MCLA Trailblazers this evening at chilly Shewcraft Field.  The Owls improve to 12-4 on the season while MCLA drops to 0-14-1.

The Owls controlled play in the opening half but the game was scoreless after 45 minutes of action.  The visitors didn't wait long to push ahead though scoring just after intermission.  Owl mid-fielder Donovan Harris ripped a shot from the top of the box that was deflected and fell right to Luster.  He headed it home for his first goal of the season and in the process gave Keene State a 1-0 advantage.

MCLA played better in the second half and had some scoring chances but ultimately could not get the ball past Owl keeper Gavin Fitzpatrick.  He earned the shutout for Keene stopping five shots to earn his third win of the season.

Keene held a decided 23-10 shot advantage but MCLA did hold a 6-4 mark in corners.

MCLA's Holvin Nieves took the loss but did collect 8 saves for the Trailblazers.

The Trailblazers will wrap up their season this weekend when they head to Bridgewater State University.
