Strong second half lifts Men's Soccer past Lyndon 3-0

North Adams, MA- Three different Trailblazers found the back of the net in the second half to lift the Men's Soccer team past the visiting NVU-Lyndon Hornets 3-0 at Shewcraft Field in non league action.  The win improves MCLA's mark to 2-8.  The Hornets dip to 0-11-1.

MCLA controlled all play in the opening half as they outshot Lyndon 15-0.  The Trailblazers couldn't get a goal however, and the game would remain scoreless at halftime.

It didn't take long for MCLA to finally push one through though.  Just 1:19 into the second half, Rafael Castro would convert his team leading fourth goal of the season to make it 1-0 in favor of MCLA.  Tanner Giggliotti was credited with the assist.  Even while the Trailblazers were peppering the Lyndon net, the score remained until the 80th minute of play.

Kolby Clegg would knock home a Jason Yanes pass for an insurance tally to increase the lead to 2-0.  When Colin Rousseau would convert a Clegg pass, his goal in the 84th minute made it 3-0.

MCLA held a sizable 35-1 shot advantage and was never threatened.

Sam Edge earned the win in goal.

MCLA is back in action on Saturday as they head to Worcester to continue MASCAC play.
