Men's Tennis knocks off Johnson State 6-3

Johnson, VT- The MCLA Men's Tennis team defeated host Johnson State College 6-3 this afternoon in NAC tennis action.  With the win, the Trailblazers improve to 3-4 on the season and earn their first NAC win of the season.  The Badgers fall to 1-8 overall and are still in search of their first conference win.

Rob Wabshinak, Taylor Krowitz, and Jeff Mason all earned a pair of points in the win.  Wabshinak and Krowitz cruised to victory in the top two singles slots, while Mason put away Alex Pakatar with a 6-2, 7-5 win.

Wabshinak and Krowitz teamed up to dispatch of Cole Hennessy and Cory Chase 8-3 in the pro style set at number one doubles.  Mason and Richard LaRocque earned a key point with a hard fought 9-7 victory in the second slot.

The Badgers' Harris Shapiro and Matthew Miller earned points in their respective singles matches, both of which were in straight sets.  Miller would then team with Alex Harcourt to defeat the MCLA tandem of Andrea Binder and Ray Yelle 8-6.

MCLA is back in action tomorrow afternoon when they take on Colby Sawyer.
