Men's Tennis falls to Lyndon State 8-1

North Adams, MA- The Lyndon State Hornets earned their third NAC victory of the season defeating the MCLA Trailblazers 8-1 this afternoon in Men's Tennis action.  The win moves Lyndon above .500 at 5-4 (3-1 NAC).  MCLA falls to 3-6 and wraps up NAC play at 1-5.

The Hornets swept the doubles matches to take an early 3-0 advantage.  John Corey and Trevor Updike held off the top duo from MCLA in Rob Wabshinak and Taylor Krowitz.  They won the pro style set 8-6 to earn the point.  Josh Bacon and Daniel Weiner won easily in the second doubles slot, while Tyler Hall and Mike Desmond joined forces to earn the third point.

Wabshinak earned MCLA's only point as he defeated Corey in straight sets at number one singles.  Krowitz lost a three set heartbreaker to Updike 6-1, 2-6, 6-4 at number two singles.  Hall, Bacon, Desmond, and Weiner all won their respective matches in straight sets to close out the match.

MCLA will close their season on Wednesday when they host Green Mountain College at 3:30pm.
