WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College men's tennis team pulled off their sixth straight victory as they defeated the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts on Sunday afternoon at the Harold Alfond Athletic Center.

In the victory, the Terriers (7-4, 3-0 NAC) have won all six matches since returning from their spring trip, including five shutout victories while the Trailblazers fall to 1-2 (1-2 NAC) on the year.

The Terriers began the day with a sweep of doubles pairings. Ryan Chasse (Fort Kent, Maine) and Zachary Disch (Waterville, Maine) teamed up to beat Aaron Goldsmith and Robert Wabshinak 8-3, while Kaleb Payson (Lamoine, Maine) and Jared Waterhouse (Dayton, Maine) shutout Andrew Nygard and Jeffrey Mason in the No. 2 position.  Ross Munn (Brunswick, Maine) and Mark Amato (Manchester, Conn.) also picked up an 8-0 victory in threes over Jack Peterson and Mohamed Mahorus.

In singles play, Chasse downed Goldsmith in the No. 1 position 6-1, 6-1 while Munn eased past Wabshinak 6-0, 6-1 in twos.  Disch continued with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Nygard while Waterhouse added a 6-1, 6-0 victory on the four line.  In the last two spots, Payson topped Robert Gair 6-1, 6-0 while Amato took down Jared Freeman 6-0, 6-4.

The Terriers will hit the road on Wednesday, April 12 as they travel to Southern Maine for a non-conference matchup.
