Goldsmith picks up NAC Player of the Week honor in Men's Tennis
North Adams, MA- MCLA senior Aaron Goldsmith was tabbed as the North Atlantic Conference's player of the week in Men's Tennis as announced by the league offices this afternoon. Goldsmith led MCLA to a pair of victories.
Goldsmith went 4-0 on the week, as MCLA went 2-0 against conference opponents. In a non-conference win over Lyndon, the senior playing at the No. 1 flight, earned a straight set singles victory, 6-3, 6-2, and an 8-2 doubles win. He then recorded a 6-2, 6-4 singles win and an 8-4 doubles victory over Castleton in a NAC East matchup.
Goldsmith has been the top singles performer for three seasons at MCLA. He also forms the Trailblazers top doubles team as MCLA is vying for another playoff berth. Goldsmith and the Trailblazers are back in action on Wednesday when they host RIC at the Bennington Tennis Center at 3pm. NAC action continues on Friday when MCLA heads to perennial power Colby Sawyer.
