North Adams, MA- The MCLA Cross Country programs will once again run identical schedules in 2017. Both programs will open up competition on Saturday, September 2nd when they take the short trek up to Bennington, VT for the Southern Vermont Invitational.
Both programs will compete eight times including two championship opportunities.
Following the SVC Invitational, the Trailblazer runners will showcase themselves the following weekend at the Spartan Invitational hosted by Castleton University. MCLA will then wrap up three straight weeks of competing on 9/16 when they head to Bard College for their invitational.
The Trailblazers will conclude September with a trip to Keene State on the 30th before heading into October. MCLA will run in the James Early Invitational at Westfield State on October 7th before heading back to the Pioneer Valley the following weekend as they will compete in the Western New England Invitational.
Championship season begins as the Trailblazers will get two weeks to prepare for the MASCAC Championships. This year, Fitchburg State University will host the conference championships on October 28th.
MCLA will conclude the fall slate with a long trip up to Gorham, ME for the NCAA New England Regionals hosted by Southern Maine University on November 11th. The top finishers in that race will move on to the NCAA Division III National meet later in November.
