Bio

Rachel Quackenbush will enter her first year of Coaching for the Trailblazers as the new pitching coach.  Rachel, a graduate of MCLA in 2016 was a four year starting pitcher.  She currently holds both pitching and offensive records for the college. As a pitcher,  Rachel holds the top four single season strikeout records with 198 in one year.  She also holds the most career strikeouts totaling 678 as a player.  Among other honors, Rachel has made her mark on the program holding records in all of the following categories:  runs, homeruns, wins, and era. 

A  Sue Getchel award winner demonstrating a commitment to both academics and athletics, Rachel Quackenbush made an impact on the MASCAC conference.  She was part of MCLA’s 2015 MASCAC Conference Championship and NCAA Regional Appearance.  Voted pitcher of the week on multiple occasions, Rachel was awarded the MCLA MVP for the program 3 consecutive years.  Other honors included most valuable player of the MASCAC tournament, 1st team  all four years for the conference, and multiple academic honors.

Quackenbush received her bachelor’s degree from MCLA and currently works in the Social Work field.  She is a graduate of Hoosick Valley High School in New York.
