MCLA rolls past Becker 73-30 in women's basketball

North Adams, MA- The MCLA women's basketball team jumped out to a 23-2 lead and never looked back as they defeated Becker College 73-30 this evening in non conference action.  The win is MCLA's second straight as they improve to 3-1 on the season.  Becker drops to 0-4.

In the opening spurt, Courtney McLaughlin and Kayla Hotaling combined for 13 points helping the Trailblazers start fast.  Becker was troubled by turnovers as they committed 20 in the first half and shot just 17%.  MCLA on the other hand shot a torrid 61% on 19-31 attempts in the opening half.

McLaughlin paced MCLA with 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists.  Hotaling ended her night with 16 points, 5 boards, and 5 steals.  Brayleigh Hanlon chipped in with 11 points.  Ashley Clawson dished out a season best 6 assists.

MCLA finished the night shooting 49% but did turn the ball over 22 times.

Becker was paced by Brooke Martel's 10 points.  The Hawks committed 39 turnovers.

MCLA is off until Wednesday, December 3rd when they travel to Utica College.
