Women's Basketball adds a pair of staff members

North Adams, MA- The MCLA Athletics department and the Women's Basketball program have announced the hiring of a pair of assistant coaches.  Joining head coach Loren Stock on the sidelines in 2017-18 will be Nina Nunes and Courtney McLaughlin.

The duo will begin working in the program immediately as the season begins on October 16th with the start of preseason practice.

Nunes played collegiately at the University of Central Florida for four years.  She graduated with a degree in Psychology and is currently employed as a faculty member at Berkshire Community College.  Along with her playing career, Nunes also has experience working in AAU programs.  Nunes has a Masters degree from Springfield College and recently just passed the BCC physical fitness program.

McLaughlin was a four year letter winner at MCLA who just wrapped up her collegiate career.  Last season was her best as she averaged 12.2 points per game, good enough for second on the roster.  McLaughlin was also a solid defender collecting 2.3 steals per contest, which ranked her among the league leaders.  McLaughlin graduated from MCLA with a degree in Business Administration.

The Trailblazers open up their season on November 15th when they host Cobleskill.
