Lacrosse falls at Becker 19-3
Leicester, MA- The Becker College Hawks held MCLA scoreless in the second half as they cruised past the Trailblazers 19-3 this afternoon in a non conference women's lacrosse game. With the win, the Hawks even their mark at 2-2 while MCLA is now 1-1.
Natalie Caney got MCLA off to a fast start scoring in the opening two minutes. From there, Becker took over. They scored the next 8 goals and went on to lead MCLA 10-3 at the half. The Hawks would hold MCLA scoreless in the second period outscoring them 9-0 over that stretch to cruise to victory.
Tatum Fahs and Kailee Ruyack led the Hawks with six and five goals respectively. Victoria Belcher added three for Becker as well. Karena Prescott earned the win to move to 2-0 on the season saving ten shots for Becker.
Caney scored a pair of goals for MCLA while Erin Ferris netted the other. Alexandra David absorbed the loss in net stopping nine shots.
The Trailblazers are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Purchase for a non league tilt set for 1pm.
