Women's Lacrosse shut out at home against Worcester State

North Adams, MA- Eight different Worcester State lacrosse players found the back of the net as the Lancers shut out the MCLA Trailblazers 10-0 this evening at Shewcraft Field.  The Lancers improve to 8-3 overall and are now 3-1 in the MASCAC.  MCLA falls to 1-8 overall and is 0-4 in the conference.

The Lancers started fast as Madison Brennan tallied off a free position shot for a quick 1-0 lead.  Just two minutes later, Abby Magnuson converted a Kelly Austin feed to make it 2-0 in favor of the Lancers.  Austin would then collect her first goal while Magnuson added another to increase the margin to 4-0 just five minutes into the game.

Worcester State would add four more tallies in the first half by four different players to take a commanding 8-0 lead at halftime.

The Lancers held possession for most of the second half as they added two more markers to account for the final score.

Magnuson ended with a pair of goals and assists to lead the offense.  Chloe O'Brien didn't have to record a save as she improved to 8-3 on the season.

Worcester State outshot MCLA 23-3 in the contest and held a 31-16 edge in ground balls.

Zoe Elwell stopped nine shots in goal for MCLA.

The Trailblazers are back in action on Friday night when they host Mass. Maritime in the home finale.
