Women's Lacrosse falls to MMA on Senior Night

North Adams, MA- Alyssa Blumenthal scored five goals and added five assists as the Massachusetts Maritime Women's Lacrosse team rolled past the MCLA Trailblazers tonight 17-1 at Shewcraft Field in North Adams.  With the win, the Bucs improve to 8-6 overall and are 2-3 in the MASCAC.  MCLA dips to 1-9 overall and is 0-5 in the conference.

Mass. Maritime left little doubt in this one as they raced out to a commanding lead.  They led 4-0 after ten minutes of play and eventually 11-0 at the half.  The Bucs cruised in the second half as they weren't challenged and went on to the victory.

Anna Deely added five goals for the Bucs to compliment Blumenthal.  Casey Sullivan collected four goals and an assist to aid the offense. 

Laura Kleber stopped one shot to collect the win and was the beneficiary of the Bucs offense as she improved to 8-6.

The lone goal scored for MCLA was by Ciera DowlingZoe Elwell notched five saves in defeat.

Prior to the contest, MCLA honored Dowling, Elwell, and Brianna Morris as part of senior night.
