Women's Soccer blanked by Skidmore 2-0

Saratoga Springs, NY- The Skidmore College women's soccer team shot their way past visiting MCLA 2-0 this evening in non conference action.  With the loss, MCLA is now 1-1-1 on the season.

The Trailblazers would held in check all afternoon as Skidmore controlled play.  They would outshoot MCLA 35-3 in the contest.

Although they continued their offensive barrage, it wasn't until the 44th minute that the Thoroughbreds finally got one past MCLA keeper Meg Richardson.  Liz Forelle found the back of the net just before halftime making it 1-0 Skidmore at halftime.

The home side continued to rip shots at Richardson in the second half, however the keeper held tough and kept MCLA in it.  It wasn't until the 73rd minute when Skidmore would strike again.  This time, Emily Saliterman would convert a Christina Sanzari feed for an insurance goal.

From there, the hosts weren't threatened.

Skidmore's Rollins earned the shutout stopping all three shots she saw.

Richardson collected 15 saves in the loss for MCLA.

The Trailblazers are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Castleton University.
