Women's Soccer blanked by Hartwick 3-0

North Adams, MA-The visiting Hartwick College women's soccer team had three different players tally goals as they cruised past the MCLA Trailblazers 3-0 this evening at Shewcraft Field.  The match was played in wet and windy conditions.

Hartwick improves to 10-3-2 on the season.  The Trailblazers dip to 2-12-1.

Hartwick controlled play in the opening half outshooting MCLA 11-0.  The Hawks took the lead in the 21st minute of play.  Nicole Chisdak converted from close range for an early 1-0 lead.  She was the beneficiary of two great passes from Gabby Kreppein and Tanner Reed for her first goal of the season.

The Hawks added another goal early in the second half on Courtney Velho's tally.  She converted a rebound off of the foot of Gina Fahrenholz to increase the lead to 2-0.  Hartwick's Nicole Conway scored her first goal of the season a few minutes later to increase the lead to 3-0.  The Hawks cruised home from there.

For the match, Hartwick owned a decided 29-1 advantage in shots.  The Hawks also held a13-0 edge in corners.

Cassandra Robataille earned the win for the Hawks.

MCLA's Megan Richardson was tabbed with the loss after collecting 8 saves.

The Trailblazers hit the road on Saturday to continue MASCAC play against Mass. Maritime Academy.
