Bio

Since 2000, Deb Raber has been the Head Women’s Soccer Coach at MCLA. During this time, she has led the Trailblazers to victory on and off the field.

United Soccer Coaches Awards: two All-New England selections, three Scholar All-East selections, 18 Awards for Ethics, eight Team Academic Awards

MASCAC: 53 All-Conference selections, three conference Player of the Year selections, two Rookie of the Year selections, 1 Woman of the Year, 2010 conference regular season champs, three-time coach of the year

Coach Raber’s career is shaped by her degrees in Education and Psychology. Raber’s undergraduate Education degree at Green Mountain College and Master’s of Education with a focus in Athletic Counseling from Springfield College are the groundwork for her supportive coaching style.

Coach Raber‘s influence within the soccer community is far-reaching, and her reputation is highly respected by leaders in the field. Named three times as MASCAC Coach of the Year, Raber also leads and instructs for the United Soccer Coaches. As a member of both the National Goalkeeper Staff and Field Player Staff, she instructs all levels of goalkeeping and youth through the Advanced National diplomas on the field player side. Raber has been very active with United Soccer Coaches, serving as the National Chair for the Scholar All-American Committee as well as a long-time member of the Ethics Committee.

In addition to her duties as head coach, Deb Raber also serves as the athletics department's Sports Performance Coach, covering strength and conditioning and student-athlete wellbeing. Her own personal interest in fitness is coupled with certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine, Certified Functional Strength Coach, American Council on Exercise, Functional Movement Systems, and the Titleist Performance Institute.
