Women's Tennis blanks Bay Path 9-0
North Adams, MA- The MCLA women's tennis team blanked the visiting Bay Path Wildcats 9-0 this afternoon at the Zavattaro Complex. With the win the Trailblazers improve to 2-1 on the season. Bay Path fell to 1-2 with the setback.
MCLA got off to a fast start cruising through the doubles matches to take an early 3-0 lead. They would keep the momentum going in singles winning five of six matches in straight sets.
Sarah Murphy, Sarah Mikutowicz, Emily Deaso, Rebecca Waterhouse, and Mariza Sfakianaki all earned a pair of points in the victory.
Kylie Dumas earned a hard fought victory in the sixth slot. After splitting the first two sets, Dumas won the tiebreaker 10-6 to earn a point. Ama Adwetewa-Badu also earned a point, pairing with Waterhouse in doubles.
MCLA is back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Western New England College.
