Clark named NAC co-Rookie of the Year; Higgins, Jordan earn All-Conference honors

North Adams, MA- A trio of MCLA women's tennis players were honored by the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) this afternoon as the league announced its 2019 All-Conference selections.

Freshman McKenna Clark (Glens Falls, NY) was voted co-Rookie of the Year and named to the singles First Team. Senior captain Briana Higgins (Tewksbury, MA) along with her playing partner junior Mackenna Jordan (Lebanon, CT) were voted the doubles First Team. Higgins also earned singles Second Team honors while Jordan was named to the Sportsmanship Team.

In her first season as a Trailblazer Clark went an impressive 7-3 in singles competition and boasted a 5-1 mark in conference play. The duo of Higgins and Jordan followed up a solid spring together on the Mixed Tennis team by going 8-2 (5-1 NAC). Individually Higgins peaked at the perfect time going 4-2 in the conference and ending the regular season on a six match winning streak.

Clark, Higgins, Jordan and the rest of the MCLA Women's Tennis team are in action this Sunday as they travel to the Woburn (MA) Racquet Club for the NAC semifinals to take on Lesley University.
