Volleyball snaps skid with 3-0 win over Rutgers-Newark

Cobleskill, NY- The MCLA Volleyball team snapped a three game skid with a 3-0 victory over Rutgers-Newark this afternoon at the Cobleskill invitational.  With the win, the Trailblazers are now 14-11 while Rutgers is 16-10.

MCLA swept the action by winning sets 25-17, 25-22, and 25-21 to close out the match.  

Rebecca Godbout led a balanced attack for the Trailblazers collecting a team best 6 kills and 23 assists.  Sam Anderson and Margaret Allen joined Godbout with 6 kills each, while Rachel Mills and Brianne O'Rourke each had 5.

Jackie Paluilis and Allie Chang led the defense with 18 digs apiece.

MCLA is back at Cobleskill on Tuesday night before traveling to Bridgewater to wrap up the regular season next Saturday.
