Volleyball advances to ECAC Championship game with 3-2 win over Lesley

North Adams, MA- The second seeded MCLA Volleyball team outlasted the third seeded Lesley University Lynx 3-2 to advance into the championship game of the 2015 New England ECAC Championship.  The Trailblazers improve to 24-10 and will face Endicott in the championship.  Lesley ends their season at 16-10.

Allison Clark paced MCLA with a team best 20 kills and added 16 digs.  Angelica Perfido also had a double double of 11 kills and 24 digs.  Margaret Allen chipped in with 11 kills.  Courtney Parent set up the offense with 30 assists while Beatrice Lechler added 21.  Defensively, MCLA was paced by Chanielle Enomoto's 25 digs while Brittney Pihl added 22.

The Lynx were led by Kaylee Deluga's 20 kilss and 16 digs.  Emily Marden collected 41 assists on the afternoon.  Defensively for Lesley, Jessie Reynolds led the team with 26 digs and Marden added 19.

The Lynx took the opening set 25-18 before MCLA rallied in the second set to pull even 28-26.  The Trailblazers took the third 25-22 before Lesley forced a fifth set with an identical 25-22 set four win.  

In the deciding fifth set, MCLA never trailed as they took advantage of two net errors to pull ahead.  They finished off the set on a Margaret Allen kill to put them into the championship round.
