Volleyball drops road match at Mount Holyoke 3-1

South Hadley, MA- The MCLA Volleyball team continued their road swing to start the season as they dropped a 3-1 decision to Mount Holyoke.   With the win, the Lyons are now 2-1 while the Trailblazers drop to 1-5 on the season.

The hosts took the first set 26-24 before MCLA rallied to even it up by winning the second set 26-24.  From there, MHC closed out the visitors with a 25-20 win in the third and a 25-23 win in the fourth and final set.

Maggie Allen paced MCLA with 16 kills on 36 attacks.  The 16 kills were a career best effort for the junior.

 Allison Clark did a bit of everything collecting 14 kills and 15 digs.  Beatrice Lechler ended with 20 assists while Taylor Wiese had 11.  Chanielle Enomoto ended her night with 21 digs to lead the team.

Mount Holyoke was led by Jamesa Allen who had 13 kills.  Joy Maran had 11 kills while teammate Sarah Caggiano had 10.  Natalie Lyon set the offense up all night to the tune of 37 assists while also collecting 12 digs.

The Trailblazers will look to right the ship on Saturday when they travel to Norwich for a tri match.
