Volleyball drops 3-0 decision to Mount Holyoke

Holyoke, MA- Mount Holyoke's Jamesa Allen and Sasha Simine combined for 21 kills and Brayden Walden set the offense up with 27 assists in leading the Lions past the visiting MCLA Trailblazers 3-0 this evening in non conference action.  The Trailblazers drop to 1-3 overall while the Lyons are now 2-1 on the season.

MHC took the opening set 25-15 and the second 25-16.  They closed out the Trailblazers in the third 25-13.

Allen notched 11 kills on just 17 attacks as she hit .529 for the match.  Simine collected 10 kills on 22 attacks, good for a .364 hitting percentage.  She added five digs for the victors.

Walden assisted on 27 of the team's 36 kills.  She chipped in with 6 aces and 6 digs.  Cameron Graham led the defense with 10 digs in the match.

No Trailblazer recorded more than four kills.  Reagan Scattergood and Sara LaFreniere each ended with 4.  MCLA was hampered by 19 attack errors in the contest and an additional 8 service errors.

MCLA is back in action on Thursday when they open up at home against Anna Maria at 6pm.
