Bio

Nick has been coaching at MCLA for approximately 7 years, volunteering as a special assistant for 3 years and now serves as an assistant coach.

Witherell started his competitive volleyball career at the age of twelve in the Berkshire Volleyball League. He now has more than 23 years of experience playing and coaching the sport.

His playing experience includes 18 years in Berkshire Volleyball; 12 years in USA Volleyball – Yankee Region; numerous B, A and Open level outdoor tournaments; as well as the Baystate Games – 4 years of Scholastic, one year of Open, and 2 years of Masters (attaining Gold and Silver medals in Masters). Nick also attended several volleyball camps during his youth, including one at Penn State University.

Nick was born and raised in Cheshire, MA, and currently resides in Pittsfield.
