Natalie Caney, Lax/Women's Soccer

Caney has been a standout two sport athlete at MCLA for the past two seasons.  She has been the leading scorer on the women's soccer team and set a freshman scoring record for goals with 17.  For the past two seasons, she has led the Lacrosse team as they transitioned to a varsity sport.

Caney has been the focal point of the offense during the early part of her junior season leading the team in goals and points.  She tallied a season best 6 goals in a win over Johnson State last week.  Her speed and athleticism have made her a weapon on the offensive side.

After the fall semester, Caney was one of 43 students nationwide to be selected to attend the NCAA National Convention.  She called her experience in Houston one of the best she's had during her career at MCLA.

Caney is a Sociology major who hopes to get involved in coaching upon graduation.  Hear more from Caney as she discusses being a two sport athlete, her experience at the NCAA convention, and much more in this week's student athlete profile.
