48 Trailblazers named to MASCAC Fall All Academic Team

2017 MASCAC Fall All Academic Team

North Adams, MA- The Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletics Conference (MASCAC) has announced the fall All Academic Team. MCLA had 48 student-athletes recognized on the fall roster.

A total of 737 student-athletes have been honored by the Conference. Student-athletes that compete in championship varsity sports offered by each of the MASCAC institutions during the Fall 2017 athletic season and have achieved a 3.20 cumulative or semester-based grade point average during the semester are eligible for selection to the Fall All-Academic Team.

"The MASCAC had another successful semester as reflected by the large number of student-athletes recognized on the 2017 MASCAC Fall All-Academic Team," Commissioner Angela Baumann said. "Finding success in the classroom is equally as important as success on the field of play which ourstudent-athletes have shown time and time again. I am extremely proud of their academic accomplishments."

MCLA had all seven fall programs represented on the roster. Women's Soccer led the way for MCLA with 13 representatives on the roster. Volleyball was next with 11 student-athletes, while Men's Soccer placed seven competitors. Men's and Women's Cross Country were well represented with ten total representatives, while Golf (2) and Women's Tennis (5) were also honored.
