Bio

Flynn graduated from the College in 1979 with a degree in sociology. He was a member of the men's basketball team from 1974-1978. His athletic honors include: MVP 1976-77 and 1977-78, Third Team All New England, and three years All League Team Captain. Monty is 10th on the MCLA all-time scoring list.

Monty is currently employed by Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, NY as the Coordinator of Student Activities. He is living in Jamesville, NY with his wife, Linda Wright, and his five children, Reggie, Franklin, Kala, Joshua, and Jessica. He is an AAU Basketball Coach for Boys Syracuse Select and Girls Syracuse Stars, a college basketball official (ECAC) since 1996, a certified high school basketball official (Board #38 Syracuse, NY) and a martial arts student studying Karazenpo Go Shinjutsu Shaolin Kempo Karate (present rank, Yankyu).

In 1999 Monty received the State University of New York (SUNY) Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Professional Service and in 1997 he received the SUNY Chief Admissions Professionals Multicultural Committee Trailblazer Award.
