Bio

Pellerin has received an accumulation of honors and awards for his participation in the sport of baseball. He played for three years on the College’s team from 1958-1961. Afterwards, he continued to contribute to the College’s Athletic Department by becoming the Head Baseball Coach in 1961 and the Head Softball Coach in 1996. Buddy was named Berkshire County Coach of the Year in 1971, and National Baseball Coach of the Year in 1972 (area one). He was inducted into the High School Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame, the High School Softball Coaches Hall of Fame, and the U.N.I.C.O. Hall of Fame as well.

Buddy has conducted numerous fast pitch clinics throughout Berkshire County, most notably the Golden Glove clinic at Williams College. He was also a clinician at the Grand Slam clinic in Boston. He has been the Head Baseball Coach at Pittsfield High School for nineteen years as well as Head Softball Coach, the Athletic Director, and a psychology teacher there. To add to his numerous accomplishments, Buddy was recognized by President Clinton and Senator Kennedy for 39 years of educational services. He has also been the Head Football Coach at Cranwell Preparatory School, Taconic and Pittsfield High Schools.
