New repeats as MASCAC pitcher of the week

North Adams, MA- For the second straight week, MCLA left handed pitcher Bobby New was selected as the conference's pitcher of the week. New has been outstanding all season and registered a complete game shutout in the Trailblazers Florida trip opener.
Michael Ferrara of Worcester State was named the Player of the week, while Bridgewater State's Ruben Gonzalez was the rookie of the week.
New has allowed just four earned runs season, three of which came in the season opener. He has surrendered just one run over his last 15 innings of work.
Against Purchase, he allowed just five hits and struck out ten batters to record the victory. He was never really in danger and cruised home in the 3-0 win.
MCLA is still in Florida and will resume play tomorrow against Cazenovia.
