Urbanski selected as MASCAC rookie of the week
North Adams, MA- MCLA right handed pitcher Mike Urbanski has been selected as the MASCAC rookie of the week following three solid outings in Florida. Urbanski went 1-0 over nine innings of work for the Trailblazers in Auburndale.
Westfield State's Colin Dunn and Shane Bogli were honored as the player and pitcher of the week.
Urbanski began his Florida trip by earning the win against Cazenovia with six strong innings. He allowed just 3 hits and gave up two runs (one earned) to pick up his second victory of the season. He struck out six Wildcats in the win.
Urbanski tossed an inning of relief against Wisconsin Stevens Point the next day before closing the trip with another appearance against Keuka.
For the week, the right hander tossed seven innings, allowed five hits, and struck out ten batters.
The Trailblazers are back in action on Wednesday when they head over to Troy, NY to face RPI.
