Woodside tabbed as Men's Lacrosse Assistant Coach

North Adams, MA- Jeffrey Woodside has been named the assistant coach on the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts' men's lacrosse coaching staff. Woodside arrives in North Adams by way of Saint Louis University, where he has spent the last 4 seasons.

While at Saint Louis University, Woodside spent his two seasons as the offensive coordinator during the 2016 and 2017 seasons. He coached an offense that helped a team improve over the 2 seasons and beating their cross-town rival for the first time in 9 years. Woodside was then promoted to the head coach of the program for the 2018 and 2019 seasons, leading them to a 500 record in his first season.

Woodside also spent some time coaching box lacrosse in the emerging market of Saint Louis for different clubs. He spent two seasons as an assistant for the River City Blue Cats for the 2018 and 2019 seasons. The Blue Cats are a senior men's semi-professional box lacrosse team competing in the IBLA. He helped oversee the offense and helped with many new players to the game. He also spent one year on the bench as an assistant for the Saint Louis Centurions for the 2017 season. Prior to that, Woodside played in the inaugural season for the Saint Louis Centurions as a forward in 2016 and helped the team make it to the semi-finals in their first season.

Woodside also served as a coach across the Saint Louis area for the past decade. Brought in to help out an emerging high school program, Francis Howell, to help with development and specialty positions for the 2018 season. Before that he lead Parkway South, as the head coach, for the 2015 and 2016 season, where the Patriots improved each season, topping the previous seasons' record while playing a tougher schedule. Beginning his coaching experience in the mid-west, Woodside took on the role of assistant for Fort Zumwalt's Club lacrosse team, where he oversaw offensive schemes and the extra man offense. And he helped lead them to playoff berths in each season. Woodside saw 15 players over his watch get offers to continue their lacrosse at the next level, spread across Division II, Division III, and NAIA schools.
