Bluteau tallies lone goal in 6-1 loss to Sage

North Adams, MA- Sage's Derlis Zayas netted a pair of goals and collected an assist in leading the Gators past MCLA 5-1 tonight at Shewcraft Field.  With the win, the Gators improve to 5-3 while MCLA drops their fourth straight game in falling to 2-7.

The game was scoreless through the first thirty minutes of action before Sage exploded.  The Gators would break through in the 31st minute when Seybolt threaded a pass to Derlis Zayas who pounded it home for a 1-0 lead.  Just two minutes later, Seybolt would find the back of the net.  Zayas made a great through pass to Griffin Goodemote who then one-touched to Seybolt who easily beat MCLA's Kamron Anderson to make it 2-0.

The Gators would add their third tally in the 40th minute, this time when Zayas converted off a Heriberto Gomez feed to make it 3-0 at halftime.  The Gators outshot MCLA 11-2 in the opening frame and held a 4-1 mark in corners.

In the second half,Goodemote converted a pair of goals.  He converted from 25 yards out over an outstretched Anderson in the 68th minute to make it 4-0.  His shot went into the upper left corner just out of Anderson's reach.

MCLA finally got on the board when Matt Bluteau scored his first collegiate goal late in the half.  Bluteau would convert off a loose ball in front of the Sage net.

In the 95th minute, Goodemote once again tallied from outside the box to make it 5-1, while Eduardo Angel's tally in the final minute rounded out the scoring.

Sage's Mike Chiaravalloti earned the win in goal for the Gators.

Sage would outshoot MCLA 17-8 in the win.

Anderson stopped four shots in a losing cause.
