Men's Tennis bests Sage 6-3
North Adams, MA- The MCLA Men's Tennis team collected their second win of the season as they swept the doubles matches en route to a 6-3 win over the Sage Gators at Zavattaro Athletics complex. With the win, MCLA is now 2-6 overall while Sage falls to 0-9.
Taylor Krowitz and Rob Wabshinak each scored a pair of points in the top two slots for MCLA. Wabshinak bested Gerard Beaudin in straight sets 7-5, 6-2 in the top singles slot. Krowitz also earned a convincing win at number two singles with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Rick Butt. The duo would continue their dominance earning the top doubles point with an 8-2 win over the same pair.
Jeffrey Mason and Christian Sanchez earned a hard fought point in the second doubles slot, 8-6, over Cory Alvarado and Robert Scott. Richard LaRocque and Ray Yelle defeated Khademe Osbourne and Mark Castillo 9-7 in the third doubles match to complete the Trailblazer sweep.
For Sage, Alvarado, Scott, and Castillo earned singles points, all of which came in straight sets.
