Men's Tennis blanked by Colby Sawyer 9-0
Bennington, VT- The visiting Colby Sawyer Men's Tennis team rolled to a convincing 9-0 win over the MCLA Trailblazers in a NAC match played at the Bennington Tennis Center. With the win, the Chargers improve to 6-8 overall while MCLA drops to 0-4.
CSC wasted little time in taking control as they swept the doubles matches only dropping three games. Cass McCann and Rico Bailey won 8-2, while Andrew Peloquin and Justin Pinard won 8-1. Shawn Bissonette and Julius Graefe cruised to an 8-0 win in the third doubles slot.
The Chargers would continue their solid play in singles. McCann, Peloquin, and Pinard all earned their second points of the day, all in straight sets. Sergio Spassof, Clay Allen, and Bryan Sawyer all won in convincing fashion to cap the victory.
CSC is now 3-0 in conference play and the Trailblazers drop to 0-3. MCLA will look to earn their first win on Wednesday when they travel to Rhode Island College.
