Tennis breezes past Gators 9-0 in Men's Tennis

North Adams, MA- The MCLA men's tennis team swept past visiting Sage College 9-0 this afternoon in non conference action at Zavattaro complex.  The Trailblazers improve to 3-5 while Sage drops to 0-9 on the season.

MCLA breezed in doubles action as Aaron Goldsmith and Rob Wabshinak won 8-0 over Casey Fitzpatrick and Tyler Schnaible for the first point.  Andrew Nygard and Jared Freeman added an 8-2 win over Christian Rosario and Nate Miller for the second point while Jeffrey Mason and Robert Gair won 8-3 over Sebastian Vickers and Melvin Tejada heading into singles play.

Goldsmith earned his second point of the day 6-1, 6-0 over Fitzpatrick while Wabshinak handled Schnaible by the same score.  Nygard, Mason, Gair, and Jack Peterson all won in straight sets giving MCLA the victory.

The Trailblazers are scheduled to face Western New England on Friday before closing out the regular season on Sunday with a key match with Green Mountain.

Sage faces St. Joseph's on Sunday in their next match.
