2017 NAC Men's Tennis All Conference Team

North Adams, MA- MCLA senior men's tennis player Jeffrey Mason has been named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) senior scholar athlete of the year following a vote of the league's coaching staff.  The honor is the first for Mason in a Trailblazer uniform.

Mason is a Chemistry major at MCLA, while also pursuing a minor in both Biology and Education. He has served as a role model in both the classroom and on the court and is being acknowledged for his commitment to tennis and to his studies.

Impressively, he has been named to the Dean's List every semester at MCLA. The senior is a member of Alpha Lambda Delta and Alpha Chi.  As a junior, Mason was named to the NAC East Sportsmanship Team after distinguishing himself through acts of ethical behavior and clearly demonstrating sportsmanship and integrity that go beyond the tennis playing rules and etiquette.  He has been an active member of the Trailblazers squad all four years of his career and saved his best season for his final campaign, going 3-3 in conference singles matches.

Mason's play has helped the Trailblazers qualify for this weekend's conference semifinals.  MCLA will take on top seeded Colby Sawyer at 11am on Saturday with a date in the NAC finals at stake.
