Colantuono named Men's Cross Country Head Coach

North Adams, MA- MCLA Director of Athletics Laura Mooney has announced the hiring of Rob Colantuono as the Head Men's Cross Country Coach effective immediately.  Colantuono has been leading the women's program for the past four years and will serve as the coach of both programs going forward.

Colantuono has an extensive background in cross country.  He has over 20 years of experience at both the high school and collegiate level.  Aside from his tenure as the women's coach at MCLA, Colantuono also served as the Williams College head women's coach for two seasons prior to being named principal of Crosby Elementary School in Pittsfield.  While at Williams, his team won the New England Championship and moved on to the nationals.

Colantuono has also served as the head coach at a pair of local high schools.  He was the track coach at Pittsfield High School for 11 seasons, which included eight county titles and four Western Massachusetts championships.  He then coached cross country at Lenox high school for an additional seven years.

Colantuono will lead both programs when they begin their seasons in early September.
