Cross Country releases 2018 meet schedule, will host MASCAC Championships in late October
Women's Cross Country Schedule
North Adams, MA- The MCLA Athletics department has announced the 2018 Men's and Women's Cross Country schedules for the fall season. Both programs will have identical meet schedules and will open on Saturday, September 8th this fall.
The September opener will be held at Castleton University. The women typically run 5k events while the men compete in mostly 8k events. MCLA will run in its second consecutive week on the 15th, this time at UMass-Dartmouth. The men will go off first in their 8k while the women's 5k race is scheduled for noon.
Following an off week, the Trailblazers are back in action on the 29th of September competing in the Keene State Invitational prior to ringing in October with the perennial James Early Invitational hosted by Westfield State on 10/6. MCLA will run its third straight weekend on the 13th with a meet at Green Mountain before championship season begins.
The highlight of the schedule will be when MCLA hosts the 2018 MASCAC championships at Mount Greylock High School on October 27th. The women's 5k championship will be run at 11am with the Men's 8k to follow at Noon. The Trailblazers last hosted the event back in 2014.
The NCAA New England Championships will round out the fall slate on Saturday, November 10th hosted by Bowdoin College up in Brunswick, ME.
