Quackenbush tabbed MASCAC pitcher of the week in Softball

North Adams, MA- MCLA junior right hander Rachel Quackenbush was selected as the MASCAC pitcher of the week this morning as announced by the league office. The honor marks the first time this season that Quackenbush has been honored.
The hard throwing Quackenbush went 2-2 with a pair of complete game performances for MCLA. She tossed a pair of shutouts against Southern Maine and UMass-Boston and recorded 43 strikeouts over her 28 innings of work. She finished the week with an ERA of 2.00.
Quackenbush was a first team All MASCAC selection as a sophomore and is already the school record holder for strikeouts. The Trailblazers finished the trip at 3-9 and will next battle Salem State in the conference opener this weekend. Location and time for those contests are still TBA.
